Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
  • Can I change/remove/add some of the items in the menu?

    Yes, you can customize the menu and we will provide a new quotation based on the changes.

  • How much food should I order?

    We would advise customer to order the exact number of guest they are inviting. However, we always provide 10% extra food for every order.

  • I have a few Vegetarian guests. Can you prepare food for them?

    Yes, please tell us their dietary requirements in advance so we can plan and prepare the menu for them.

  • What is your minimum order?

    Buffet – 50pax
    Stall – 70pax
    We do cater for smaller crowd (minimum 20pax) on weekdays but it depends on our availability.

  • What is included in the quotation?

    All catering necessity such as plates, cutlery, drinking glasses, serviette, garbage bag, chafing dish, tables for buffet spread are included.

  • What if I need some canopy, tables and chairs for my event, can I rent it from you?

    Yes, we can undertake supplies of canopy, table, chairs and etc. for your event. Please refer to ‘Other Changes’ for further information and allow setup a day before the event.

  • When do I need to confirm my order?

    ONE (1) week before the event. We would require a written confirmation email from you via email for our records.

  • How do I make changes to my quotation?

    You can inform our sales representative on the changes via Email/WhatsApp.

  • How long can the food last?

    With our tropical climate, our food is safe to consume within 2½ hours from the agreed event commence time. We do not encourage customer to consume or pack the leftover food due to food quality and hygiene reason and we WILL NOT be responsible for the food quality thereafter.

  • How long is the service duration of the waiters?

    4 hours.
    Example: if your event starts at 7pm, our team will arrive 3hours(+-) prior event starts for setup. Setup and food will be ready before then and waiters will start serving guests from 7pm and start clearing by 11pm. Overtime charges apply if waiters are required to work beyond that time frame.

  • Do you provide ice?

    Yes, we will provide ice for the drinks. Please let us know in advance should you need extra ice for chilling purposes.

  • What type of tableware are you providing?

    We provide either porcelain and/or melamine plates, stainless steel cutlery and glasses for drinks.

  • How much deposit is required and how can I make payment?

    50% deposit is required upon confirmation. Payment can be made either by crossed cheque payable to HNF Catering Sdn Bhd or interbank/telegraphic transfer to our company account.

  • When should I settle the balance payment?

    Balance payment should be settled within 3 days after the event. We highly appreciate if you are able to clear the balance payment on the event day itself.

  • Can I settle the invoice via cash and is it safe to pass the cash to the waiter on duty?

    Yes you can hand over the cash to the waiter. Kindly let us know that you will pay in cash so we will ensure that the payment is submitted to us afterwards.
